Your President and other EOA members were very pleased to be able to take part in a 24 hour Organathon at St Mary’s Church, Dedham recently, where over £4,500 was raised towards the church’s organ appeal. The church’s Director of Music, Antony Watson, has been working hard with others and with Nicholson’s of Worcester to transplant a large 2 manual and pedal Binns organ (electrified by Willis) from a church in Scotland to Dedham. After a number of recent fundraising events, including the Organathon, the funds raised stand at £215,000 out of the £280,000 target. We send our good wishes to Antony and all those involved in this exciting project, and look forward to an EOA visit to the newly installed organ in 2025!!
