The Church of the Ascension with All Saints in Chelmsford is looking to appoint a new music director.
– Anticipated commencement from late 2026 / early 2027
– Requirements: 1 x weekly rehearsal (1 hour); currently on a Thursday but day could potentially be negotiated with the choir
– The choir also sing every Sunday at our 9.30am sung mass, we arrive at 9am for a rehearsal on the morning
– Once a year we aim to do a festival of carols and lessons for Christmas/Advent and historically have tried an evensong / other events in summer
– Other combined MMP services and holy days may be required
– Music director role required to create a music plan for the weekly services and the events as described above.
We would also love for some more singers, if available, to join our advent service on Sunday 6th December at 3pm (referably those that can read music).
